Fish Health Management Workshop  (Printer-friendly flier)

Tropical Aquaculture Lab in Ruskin, FL 
Date: October 26th and 27th, 2011

This two-day workshop provides an opportunity to learn about fish health management through lectures and hands-on wet labs. Lecture topics include: basic introduction to fish, fish biology, and fish physiology; introduction to fish health management principles; water quality; pathogens (parasites, bacteria, viruses, and fungi); and treatments. Hands-on wet labs include: water chemistry testing; fish anatomy and necropsy; and how to check for fish parasites. The workshop is open to fish farmers, retailers/wholesalers, professional aquarists/biologists, and veterinarians.
